First Friends Daycare is a licensed child care facility. Our preschool program approaches the first years of your child's educational experience from a developmental approach.

We provide care for children from 6 weeks to school-age.  As the child's age increases as does the structured activities to prepare them for further education.  We follow the standards set by the PA State Standards along with the PA Keystone Stars.
There are six important areas of development which are an integral part of our educational program.
These areas are:
* gross motor
* fine motor
* cognitive
* language
* social skills
* self-help skills

Our beautiful surrounding grounds can be enjoyed by our students.  The children also enjoy the opportunity to participation in intergeneraltional activities with our older adult day services program, Eldergarden.

We encourage community activities through such projects as guest speakers, activities with nursing homes, and participating in an annual art show.  We welcome partnerships with other agencies in our community such as CCIS, our local IU #29, and many more.

Before/After School Care

First Friends can provide that necessary care for parents that need to be at work at a specific time and know their child is in a safe environment.  The school bus picks up and drops off directly here on our grounds.  On snow days we provide care for early dismissals and school closures.
"At First Friends we believe in being a Parent-driven school.  We work together to ensure each individual student achieves their maximum potential before going onto their years of formal education."
